I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in TEWKSBURY MA where I ate at Brothers Pizza & Restaurant and I read a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.

I must tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some interesting facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
