I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in TEUTOPOLIS IL where I ate at Brick Bat Alley Restaurant and I saw a new piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a couple items of clothing.
I must say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some more amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
