I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in TERRE HAUTE IN where I ate at Maurizios Pizza - North and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found out some other incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
