I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in TEMPE AZ where I ate at Riazzi's Italian Garden and I read a really interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found out some other incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
