I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in TAUNTON MN where I ate at Rusty's Corner Cafe and I read an interesting piece about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
