I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in SYCAMORE IL where I ate at Ciccio's Pizza and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple items of clothing.
I have to admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
