I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in SUSSEX NJ where I ate at Dominicks Pizza and I read a new cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I should say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
