I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SUNBURY PA where I ate at Penn's Tavern and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
