I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in SUFFOLK VA where I ate at Waffle House and I came across an interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got some basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I discovered some interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
