I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
