I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in STONE MOUNTAIN GA where I ate at Wells Cargo Antiques and I saw a new cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some more incredible facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
