I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in STAMFORD CT where I ate at Culinary Systems Inc and I came across a new article about bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a few items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found some interesting facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
