I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SPRINGFIELD VA where I ate at Fullerton Cafe and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found out some other incredible details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
