I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SPRING HILL FL where I ate at New York Deli & Caterers and I read a new cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I discovered some other interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
