I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in SPOKANE WA where I ate at Swordsman Yogurt & Ice Cream Court and I read a new piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got some pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found some other incredible facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
