I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SPOKANE WA where I ate at Westcoast Grand Hotel at the Park and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
