I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SKOKIE IL where I ate at Szechwan Pavillion and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
