I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SIOUX FALLS SD where I ate at Hardee's Family Restaurants and I read a new piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
