I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in SIMPSONVILLE SC where I ate at Grillz Hotdogs Inc and I came across a new cover story about bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found out some amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
