I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SHULLSBURG WI where I ate at Nellie's Cupboard and I read a new piece about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some more incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
