I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SHERMAN TX where I ate at Papa Tim's and I came across a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I discovered some more interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
