I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SHAWNEE MISSION KS where I ate at Adrian's Cafe and I saw a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some more amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
