I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SHAWNEE MISSION KS where I ate at Golden Pagoda Chinese Restaurant and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.
I have to admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some more incredible facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
