I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SEVERNA PARK MD where I ate at Popeyes Severna Park and I saw an interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a few basic items of clothing.

I should say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
