I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in SESSER IL where I ate at Caseys Carry Out and I saw a new piece on bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a little more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
