I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in SEDALIA MO where I ate at Ramada Inn Sedalia and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After some more research I discovered some amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
