I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SEATTLE WA where I ate at Wyndham Hotel and I saw a new article about bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some interesting details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
