I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SEATTLE WA where I ate at Mario's Pizza and I read a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I should say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
