I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in SEATTLE WA where I ate at 13 Coins and I read a really interesting cover story about bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some items of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

Bamboo Clothing SEATTLE

After a little more research I found some other interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
