I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in SCHAUMBURG IL where I ate at Greek Village Taverna and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I must say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a little more research I found out some other interesting details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
