I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SARCOXIE MO where I ate at Graffs Deli & Donuts and I came across a really interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a couple basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found some interesting facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
