I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in SAN MARCOS CA where I ate at Rocco's Pizza Deli and I came across an interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I found some incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
