I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SAINT PAULS NC where I ate at Zachary's Pizza and Restaurant and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I found some incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
