I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in SAINT PAUL MN where I ate at Hot City Pizza and I came across an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some other incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
