I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in SAINT PAUL MN where I ate at Leeann Chin Cuisine and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a couple items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
