I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SAINT PAUL MN where I ate at Holiday Inn Express St. Paul-Twin Cities and I saw a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a little more research I found out some amazing details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
