I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in SAINT LOUIS MO where I ate at Cherokee House and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I discovered some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
