I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in SAINT LOUIS MO where I ate at Ponderosa Steakhouse and I came across a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I discovered some more amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
