I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SAINT JOSEPH MO where I ate at Jim's Place and I came across a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After some more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
