I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in SAINT HELENS OR where I ate at Red Apple Market - Deli and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I should say I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found out some other amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
