I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in ROSELLE NJ where I ate at Strike Zone and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found out some interesting details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
