I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in ROSEBURG OR where I ate at Caseys Restaurant and I came across an interesting cover story on bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some incredible facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
