I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in RODANTHE NC where I ate at Lisa's Pizzeria and I came across a really interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
