I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in ROCKVILLE MD where I ate at KT & T Inc and I read a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I must say I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I discovered some other amazing details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
