I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in ROCKINGHAM NC where I ate at Great China Buffet and I read a new piece on bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some more interesting details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
