I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in ROCK SPRINGS WY where I ate at Daylight Donuts and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some other amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
