I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in RINCON GA where I ate at Krispy Chic and I came across a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I must admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found out some other incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
