I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in RIDGELEY WV where I ate at LEGZ Club and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found out some interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
