I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in RICHMOND VA where I ate at Young Bin Restaurant and I read a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
