I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in RICHMOND VA where I ate at Glen Allen Bistro Pizza & Sub and I saw an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
